There’s something fishy going on around here. Oh no, it’s just one of our creations. A little vintage wardrobe that had seen better days has been given a unique new look. A repeating fish pattern has been engraved on to the door fronts and then various colours of paint have been blended and sanded between coats to give a distressed, washed-up feel. Gold highlighting has been added to each fish and then re-sanded. The casement has also had the same layering and sanding technique applied and the whole piece has been finished in several coats of dark wax.
I loved the original shelving and hanging rail so left them in for the items to be used as hallway or bedroom storage, but extra shelving could easily be added to help the piece serve as a drinks cabinet or similar.
